Grilled Tuna Sandwich is an easy sandwich to make on a parabolic solar grill, in a hot skillet on a camp stove, or on your stove top for a quick lunch.

Ingredients
  • 2 slices firm bread
  • 1 TBSP butter or margarine
  • Tuna Salad
  • 1 (7 oz) can water -packed tuna, drained
  • 1 hard boiled egg, chopped
  • 1 sm dill pickle, chopped
  • ⅓ - ½ cup Mayonnaise or Miracle Whip
Instructions
  1. To prepare the tuna:
  2. Open and drain the can of tuna. Place into a medium size bowl.
  3. Peel and chop the hard boiled egg. Add it to the tuna.
  4. Finely chop the dill pickle. Add it to the tuna. Stir to mix.
  5. Add the Mayonnaise. Add enough to moisten the tuna to your liking. Stir until the ingredients are mixed well.
  6. To prepare the sandwich:
  7. Butter one side of the first slice of bread and place face down on a hot grill.
  8. Spread with half of the tuna mixture.
  9. Butter one side of the second slice of bread. Place the bread, butter side up, on the tuna.
  10. Grill the first side, about 2 -3 minutes, until golden brown.
  11. Flip the sandwich and grill the other side, about 2 -3 minutes, until golden brown.
  12. Remove from grill and enjoy.
Notes
There are many variations to tuna salad. Depending on your taste, you can add chopped apples, diced onions, chopped pecans, or any other additions that you like.

The actual time it takes to grill on a solar grill depends on how hot the grill gets.
